Best AI Review Summary Apps for Shopify (2026)
Full disclosure up front: we make SummarAI, one of the apps on this list. We've tried to rank everything on verified pricing and features rather than put ourselves first — you can check every number below against each app's own Shopify App Store listing.
Quick answer: Reviewcap has the broadest compatibility and the most track record (works with Judge.me, Loox, Okendo, Yotpo, Fera, and Reviews.io; live since 2024). SummarAI is the cheapest dedicated option if you're on Judge.me only. Sumzy offers the most tone/style customization but has no free plan. AIRA is the cheapest paid entry and can fill in summaries from outside sources if a product has few reviews. Avivi is fully free but the newest and least proven. Judge.me's own Awesome plan bundles a summary in with its full $15/month feature set.
How these were compared
Every price and feature below is pulled directly from each app's live Shopify App Store listing, not the vendor's own marketing site. Ranking criteria: price and free-plan generosity, which review platforms it connects to, review-volume limits, and any distinguishing features.
| App | Starting price | Works with | Notable limit / feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reviewcap | Free (200 reviews) | Judge.me, Loox, Okendo, Yotpo, Fera, Reviews.io | Shopper Q&A from reviews on paid tiers; live since Jan 2024 |
| SummarAI | Free (10 products) | Judge.me | Weekly auto-refresh; surfaces complaints alongside praise by design |
| AIRA | Free trial, then $2.99/mo | Judge.me, Loox, Stamped | Can pull in outside sources if in-store reviews are thin |
| Sumzy | 14-day trial, then $9.90/mo | Judge.me | 6 summary tones and styles, editable summaries on higher tiers |
| Avivi | Free (no paid tier) | Not specified | No reviews yet on the App Store; launched June 2026 |
| Judge.me Awesome | $15/mo flat | Judge.me only (built-in) | Summary bundled with translations, social push, coupons, integrations |
Reviewcap
The most established app on this list — live since January 2024, with real merchant reviews and the widest review-platform compatibility (Judge.me, Loox, Okendo, Yotpo, Fera, Reviews.io). The free plan covers up to 200 summarized reviews, and paid tiers ($5–$25/month) add a feature the others don't have: letting shoppers ask questions and get answers generated from existing reviews, not just a static summary.
SummarAI
Our own app. It's the cheapest dedicated option if your reviews live in Judge.me and that's the only platform you need — free for up to 10 products, then $3.99–$9.99/month scaled by catalog size. It refreshes weekly and is built to show common complaints alongside praise rather than only positive highlights. The tradeoff versus Reviewcap: it only connects to Judge.me, and it doesn't have a shopper Q&A feature.
AIRA
A smaller, cheaper option ($2.99/month to start) with one distinctive feature: if a product doesn't have many reviews yet, AIRA can pull in feedback from other trusted sources to fill the gap, rather than showing a thin or empty summary. Review-depth limits are lower than the others at each tier (50–500 reviews analyzed), and it currently supports English, French, and German.
Sumzy
The most customizable option — 6 summary tones and visual styles, plus the ability to manually edit and approve AI-generated summaries before they go live, which none of the others offer. It's also the only one with no free plan, just a 14-day trial before billing starts at $9.90/month.
Avivi
Fully free with no paid tier at all, which makes it worth a look if budget is the only constraint. It's also the newest and least proven of the group — no reviews on its App Store listing yet, and its listing doesn't specify which review-collection app it reads from.
Judge.me's built-in Awesome plan
If you're already using Judge.me and don't mind paying $15/month flat, the AI summary comes bundled in with several other features (translations, social push, coupons, referrals, full customization). We covered this comparison in more depth in Judge.me Awesome Plan vs. SummarAI.
